Main city beach of Scheveningen along the boulevard: dozens of pavilions, toilets and rentals; very busy on hot days. Lifeguard posts in the summer season — swim between the flags and mind rip currents near the pier and harbor heads. Dogs: allowed on the whole beach off-season (1 Oct–15 May); from 15 May to 1 Oct only on the dog beach north of the Zwarte Pad (from beach post 47). Monitored 1 May – 1 Oct.
